It is basically a family tree program but probably the most advanced available at the mo. You can print reports, records, time lines, family trees, export all your tree info to a web site already set up for you, add photos, lots of things. You can actually also search through it but you need an ancestry sub to do so.

I think most of us who got it before Christmas got it straight from america - its the same cd whereever you get it from, its just ancestry brought it out and were selling it in advance of this country. But, if you live round the corner from PC World or something, Id whip round there for the sake of a fiver - you could be fiddling with it today!

I'm really keen now to go for FTM after reading all the comments on here over the last little while. Can you tell me which site to go for to get the FTM for £14, presumably it's an American site. How does that work out with the currency? Has anyone bought from an American site, is it easy & safe, come to that? Sorry, I'm a bit green. If it's not advisable PC World sounds a good bet at the moment. Thanks Jenny

I just had an email from genealogy (ancestry) offering the FT2005 PLUS the advanced dvd or video on how to use it for just 29 dollars! Whats that about £14?? Oh dear, I wish I had held out - I bought mine for £29 without the extras in November.
