If that is the only Florence Quinn, it must be her. The 1901 said she was born in Leeds - perhaps Bradford was considered close enough. I am not certain about the birth in Preswich...is that near? I thought that was LIverpool area? In 1901 she wasn't married, but a mother of 2 boys. My Grandfather JOHN (really his name was Clement Acaster) and Frank. Florence was lodging with a family called Beresford.

There's a Bradford which is a suburb of Manchester. No-where near Leeds....sorry! Prestwich is also Manchester area Lou

Certain Jess The John you see was my Grandfather. the family story was she fell pregnant by her employers son. Grandfathers real name was Clement Acaster Quinn. She called him John boy as a nickname, though why put it on a census??? Frank is correct also as my mum remembers her Unc Frank. Florence..the story goes married a geezer called Phipps and had more children still in Sheffield area.
