Hi Susan Waiting on marriage certs to find out whether a father named - earliest census 1861 showing him as visitor with family called cummins which coincidently would appear to be be the surname of his second wife?? Age then 7 Ann

Contact the local register office where the birth was registered, in case it was left off the GRO index. Otherwise, the parish baptism records should be in the local record office (most are - in some cases the church keeps them). You can view them on microfiche.

Ann Ive had births which have not been on 1837 online, you can check births ect at your nearest central library for the whole country. Saying that i not been able to find one of my rellies from manchester. The writing is so bad im unable to read any names, dates ect. Goodluck with your search Julie

Hi Everyone Today recd back email from South Tyneside Reg Office to say they had located both marriage certs I wanted - Great - phoned very nice lady called helen to ask what to do next - whilst on phone chatted about not being able to find birth of William Blaylock approx 1854 according to all census from 61 - 1901 born Laverick Hall Hedworth she said if not on St catherines - 1837 online they would not be able to help with cert - any ideas where to go next - 1837online trawled 1853/1854/1855 but some images not good and some appear to be missing- any ideas Advised by Helen K earlier request only one church in 1860s St pauls anybody access to their records Any guidance appreciated Ann xx
