Does anyone know when the freereg website will be up and running? For as long as I can remember it has been stating that it is still in the testing phase. Michelle |

I know, annoying isn't it. I check it every so often in the hope it has gone 'live'. I can only presume its down to a lack of transcribers. |

If the top man is having personal problems, then fair enough; but after four years of stagnation, perhaps he should hand over to someone else if he can't cope. To be honest, it isn't a good sign if the whole project cannot run because of one person's absence. Rather than a lack of transcribers, it's probably lacking a web-expert. The quickest way to attract transcribers is to get the thing up and running; nobody will volunteer if they don't believe their work will ever be put online. |
