What a lot of coincidences, Helen! It's nice to hear of your good luck - it's fantastic when things fall into place isn't it? I get so many red herrings but it's lovely when a hunch proves correct. Cherie

I've had an excellent morning today. Yesterday, I went to the local council lodge where I live, as they hold cemetery records. She was a lovely lady and there was no charge etc. She located the graves of my great great grandparents (on my mother's side) and my great grandparents (on my fathers side) Both graves sadly have no headstone but she was able to tell me lots of details, eg name, age, date of death, date of burial, occupation and who else was in the plot. In my great grandparents grave, I discovered they are buried with two of their sons, (my grandads brothers). One, I didn't know he had died aged 47, and the other was a 10 day old baby. I had suspected this baby was theirs but hadn't ordered the birth cert, so this all confirmed it for me, which was great! Spookily, as well, the address where my great grandparents died, and where my grandfather lived as a child, is the same address as where the lady from the council lives right now!!! I couldn't believe it! Another coincidence is that a lady coming to view my house tomorrow (as we're moving) currently lives next door but one, to where my father lived as a boy! (a few miles away from where I am) Anyway, sorry I'm waffling. The lady at the council was excellent and arranged an appointment for me this morning at 11am, to meet a worker. He took me to both graves!!! Absolutely excellent. I'm thrilled and had to share! Regards Helen
