Hi Bernard, Found this site, might be of some help. There is a 'Ask Now' which gives you the ability to ask the library a question online. They may be able to tell you which port the ship arrived at and how to further investigate your rellie. :-) Mel. http://library(.)christchurch(.)org(.)nz/Guides/PassengerLists/ remove ( )

Hi Bernard - do you have a record of his birth. I've just had a quick look at 1837 online and checked all quarters for 1838 and 1839 and can't find him.

After a long time searching for my GGF unsuccessfully,I have to ask ANYONE if records exist regarding passenger information on emigrants England to New Zealand in 1873?I have my GGF boarding the ''Woodlark''[passenger list !] but NOTHING prior to this! I cannot therefore connect with anyone of the several holders of my surname because of this. His name was Helmer William Seeling and he was on record as being 34 years old in 1873.I know this is his real name because we have a letter to him sent by a friend from London,4years after he left England. This was a letter replying to his letter to them. There was, I think, something ''dodgy''going on with him!! Bernard Seeling.
