----------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank you for your email and for bringing this to our attention. Please could you forward the following information to your colleague - Rebecca Grady essentially this it is related to personal user settings. Potential users can contact us at:- 'customerservice001 AT familyrelatives.org' - should they have any further problems. We would like to suggest the following if you are experiencing Session Time Outs and are not using Internet Explorer 6: Step 1 - upgrade browser to IE 6 (if required - minimum site requirements IE 5.5 or later) Step 2 - add https://www.familyrelatives.org as a trusted site Step 3 – customise privacy settings The first step would be to upgrade your Internet Explorer as the existing version you may have, has been updated several times due to security issues. Internet Explorer is currently on Version 6. It is recommended that you use the browser version Internet Explorer 6 This can be updated the following way at no cost: go to the link: http://update.microsoft*com this will then take you to the microsoft website. Follow the instructions reading them carefully as it will update any critical security flaws. We suspect that the problem is one of security as we run a high level of encryption usually anything above 128 bit encryption (SSL128) and that requires certain items to be switched on in IE 6. Other than that it could be that the existing IE is not running java or encryption in which case you would not be able to make a payment. If you are using Windows XP the firewall may be active and may not allow you to access parts of our website, therefore this needs to be set up correctly prior to download please visit the microsoft website for further information. See below. Note: If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2) your firewall is turned on automatically. To learn more see, Understanding Windows Firewall. http://www.microsoft*com/windowsxp/using/security/internet/sp2_wfintro.mspx Adjust your firewall settings http://www.microsoft*com/windowsxp/using/security/internet/sp2_wfsettings.mspx We are not suggesting that at any time you switch off your firewall as individual settings can be made, you may choose to make Familyrelatives.org a trusted site. Secondly add https://www.familyrelatives.org as a trusted site. 1. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 2. Click the Security tab. 3. In the Select a Web content zone to specify its security settings list, click on Trusted sites then click Edit ( or Sites for XP systems). 4. Add https://www.familyrelatives.org and click Add and OK (for XP tick box for Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone). Thirdly customise your privacy settings for an individual Web site 5. In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options. 6. Click the Privacy tab, and then click Edit ( or Sites for XP systems). 7. In Address of Web site, type the complete address of the Web site for which you want to specify custom settings. For example, https://www.familyrelatives.org 8. To specify that you want Internet Explorer to always allow cookies from the specified Web site to be saved on your computer, click Allow. Notes · You can view a list of Web sites for which you have specified custom settings in the Managed Web sites list. To remove a Web site from this list, and delete its custom privacy settings, click Remove. When you remove a Web site from the Managed Web sites list, your privacy settings for all Web sites without custom settings will apply to that Web site. · Some Web sites require cookies; therefore, if you select a setting that does not allow cookies to be saved on your computer, you might not be able to view certain Web sites. · When you change your privacy settings, the changes might not affect cookies that are already on your computer. If you want to ensure that all of the cookies on your computer meet your privacy settings, you should delete all of the existing cookies on your computer. When you return to Web sites that previously had saved cookies on your computer, the Web sites that meet your privacy settings will save cookies on your computer again. The Web sites that do not meet your privacy settings will not be allowed to save cookies on your computer, and might not function properly. Please note: Please check your settings as some ISPs may provide a 'Safe list' or 'Securefix' for enabling full access to websites. Once you have done this please try the website again and contact us to let us know if you have been successful in purchasing units. We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this has caused. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any queries regarding the above. Yours sincerely, Familyrelatives Customer Service While we endeavour to offer you a service that is as complete as possible we are unable to respond to individual replies to this email. However, should you have any questions please login into the website when it is online and from the Welcome page select 'Contact Us'.
