I had this info - have misplaced it and for some reason cannot find it on web. Can anyone help? I am going to London next month and need to look for records of a postman based in Portsmouth and a Telegraph Superintendent based in IOW - both around 1901-1915. Where will I find them? Thank you Ann

Hi Anne It's at http://consignia(.)com/heritage (remove brackets). I visited the heritage centre in Clerkenwell last year, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Managed to track down my Victorian postman's work record in these huge, dusty ledgers and make me a copy for a couple of quid. Let us know how you get on! Best wishes Natalie

I thought telegraph employees were also part of the post office. I'm sure I sure listings for telegraph operators when I was at the heritage centre. Not 100 percent sure though! Natalie
