Thanks Margaret, I have emailed Wolverhampton Archives as suggested, they've responded & are looking into it for me. That's a great site Margaret, thanks for putting me onto them, have found it quite useful. Thanks again to all. Good luck to you. Sandra

Sorry, but I dont believe that Wolverhampton local archives dont have a copy. Whoever you spoke to obviously doesnt know what they were talking about. I remember years ago asking our local library about the 1891 census. Their answer? We dont have them that old!! The person had never worked in local studies dept. Try this site, its Wolverhampton local studies and archives. http://www.wolverhamptonarchives.dial.pipex.*com/index.shtml remove * or ring them Margaret

Thanks everyone for the infor. Already tried local library, they suggested the William Salt library, they passed me to the Guildhall Library in London. They have them there but I can't visit to search and they won't let me take photo-copies anyway. Just wondered if anyone had a copy who could look it up for me & copy the ad. Never mind will try the other sites mentioned. Thanks everyone anyway. Sandra

Help, has anyone out there got a Kelly's directory for the Wolverhampton area. I am trying to find an advertisement for my late Great Uncle's business. I have been informed that they are held in London, but I cannot get there to search. I'd appreciate any help on this. Regards Sandra
