house purchase in Poplar 1800s

My grandfather lived in Poplar and according to his Will owned a number of houses there and in the surrounding area. I do have their addresses. Is there any way of finding how much he paid for them and anything else about them. Most of them were lost in the blitz brenda |

I would imagine that the Land Regisry would have details of the houses and when they were aquired by your grandfather, but I don't know if they keep details of the purchase price. Kath. x |
