English birth certs don't contain info about other sibling - not one that i have ever come across anyway Might be a good idea to send for your father birth cert. will tell you his parents names and his mothers maiden name jess

My father was born in New Compton Street, where his sisters were born I have no idea, that's the problem. My father never spoke of any of his family at all. George

Do you have your father's birth cert? and does it mention any siblings? Here is Australia all older siblings and their ages are mentioned on the birth cert as long as they are still living. That would give you an idea of how old they are. Please let me know how birth certificates work in England as it would be useful to know.

My father George William Lloyd b 1902 in London had two sisters as far as I know. I believe their names were Alice and Elsie. Both were born after my father. Has anyone got any suggestions how I can find out any more info on my two aunts. Unfortuntely there is no one left living in my family that can give me any information and searches on all the various data bases have turned up nothing. George
