Computer Help Please

Can anyone help me please. The clock on my computer is loosing time its now nearly 10 minutes slow,does anyone know how to put it right.( In simple language ) please. Thank you very much. Sharon.

If you double click on it you should be able to change it kim

Sharon Right click on the clock. You will see adjust date/time. Alter it to the correct time and click apply then ok Margaret

Thank you for that. I have just tried to alter it by clicking on the clock.when the grey board comes up everything is highlighted but not apply. I will have to get a new battery. Sorry to sound dumb but where is the main board please? Sharon

Sharon unless your PC is quite old the battery should be OK. PC clocks are unreliable. Before opening up your machine (some older ones have soldered batteries) I suggest you go to http://www.worldtimeserver(.)com/atomic-clock/ Download Atomic Time Svnc. This little program will automatically set you time and date daily with an atomic clock. (file /auto synchronise daily) It works with windows 95 onwards. This should keep you OK Bob
