	Hi Steve, yes I agree with Pam. I've founds loads of mine in that particular section on 1837 and you can order all the certs here in the usual way from GRO, Overseas Section. Incidentally, GRO told me that even if your ancestors were in the forces but married here, it's still the Overseas Section at the GRO. And they're quick too. Good luck with the search. Jan :-))

Do you think that Gibraltar would come under that heading- presumably it was being used as a British base. You do mean that he was in the army there, don´t you? Pam
