There is a 75 to 100 year rule for access to medical records and few are kept. Not as easy to access as the programme 'Who do you think you are?' made them out to be. Janet |

Lindsay I think I read somewhere that medical records are kept at the discretion of the doctor and that they can be routinely destroyed after a certain period. That's for GP records. Hospital records are sometimes at records offices. nell |

Does any kind person know what happens to peoples medical records when they die, and is there any way to access them? |
