i went to Liverpool library (it has C of E & catholic registers on mircofiche for the Greater Liverpool area) i suggest going to your main library thanks guys |

Hi Louise, This is probably your couple. James is usually written as Jacobus in Latin and Jane is often Jana but I have seen it as Joana as well. Louise PS. Where did you get you Catholic records from? I'm struggling on a couple of my catholic families! LOL |

Jacobus is Latin for James (Hence Jacobean to describe James I's reign). So this does look like them. nell |

from 1886 - (it was all in latin, which confused me even more) i was looking for a james connell & jane ward - but the only possible match was a Jacobum? Connell & a Joanna? Ward would these be the people? |
