Hi Lawrence I've checked the 1881 on the LDS CD set which includes Scotland. Just doing a general search on the surnames you mention shows a lot have place of birth Ireland. None of the following are yours, perhaps your couple came to Scotland after 1881 from Ireland ?..... Lawrence You need to find them on a census to find out where. Scotland isnt on Ancestry. Post a request on the Record Office Board asking for Scottish census look ups. Margaret

Hi. I've got a Hannah Coonie, born about 1844 ( don't know where) she died in Glasgow Poor House in 1895; the widow of a Charles McKenna ( don't have any stats on him ). They had a kid in 1863 and called him Charles. I've been unable to locate the marriage for Charles & Hannah nor the birth for either of em. Her folks; from her death cert. were William Cooney and what looks like Hannah Clyde. TIA
