Janet Thank you for your reply. I have tried the local library and they looked at their computer and the result was, there is not a copy in Surrey, Hampshire or West Sussex. I thought 'I will buy the book' but at a cost of £45 that is a lot of certificates. Pat |

Pat Your library should be looking at the whole country not just 2 or 3 counties. I borrowed a rare book on Plymouth about 8 years ago through the Hertfordshire Library Service. I had to pay a deposit of £45 on it but it was worth it, and I got the money back when I returned the book. I would ask again. Failing that if you live close enough to the British Library they will often get you a copy, though you would have to read it at the British Library but you can photocopy bits that you are interested in.
