Surrey Place Name Problem

Hi I've had a look around the areas in the registration district. There's a South Beddington which is west of Purley Way and east of Carshalton. Can't see anything else even vaguely likely. No Milton Road in that area as far as I can see. nell Sorry, just read Helen's thread, I think Beddington is the most likely candidate. nell

Around Epsom beginning with B, there's Banstead or Belmont. It could be Beddington, but it's a bit far from Epsom. Helen

This is the Epsom registration district: Epsom Created 1st July 1837. Sub-districts : Carshalton; Epsom; Leatherhead. GRO volumes : IV (1837-51); 2a (1852-1930). Ashtead, Banstead, Carshalton, Cheam, Chessington, Cobham, Cuddington, Epsom, Ewell, Fetcham, Great Bookham, Headley (from 1880), Leatherhead, Little Bookham, Stoke d'Abernon, Sutton. I'll just have a look at my road map. nell

Just received a copy of a marriage certificate and cant read it! It is within the district of Epsom The marriage was in the Parish Church of B??dilton and the bride gives her address as 3 Milton Road, B??dilton. It *looks* like BEndilton? That is the 2nd letter looks like a back to front 3. lol
