Thank you all for replying! you've all found the right info. I have them in 1901 and 1881 but it's before that i can't find them. I found their marriage cert when i visited the records office but the handwritting was terrible and i couldn't make the father's name or occupation out at all. bl**dy typical considering that was the only piece of info i needed from it!!!! c x

Do you have the marriage certificate yet? If not, getting it should hopefully give a father's name and occupation, which should help identify the correct family in 1871.

They are in 1901 him 35 so age is suspect. looks like birth 1864 Macclesfield

Can anyone find Henry Hilditch for me please? I have him on the 1891 Census aged 29, Living in Congleton Cheshrie, Born in Macclesfield Cheshire, Married to Loiusa and a daughter called Elizabeth but then that's it and i can't find him in 1881 or 1871. Did he just spring up from nowhere or can anyone actually find him???? Any help would be greatly appreciated. c x
