Family tree maker 2005 - Help needed

Pat - have you imported a gedcom file ? and tried to merge with your existing one ? This can cause duplicate people if ALL details dont match - so you might see an apparent 2nd spouse becos a middle name or date was different. Click on one that shows 2 spice (plural of Spouse lol) and flip between the individuals looking for differences. Alternatively click the PEOPLE menu and use 'Duplicate Individuals' thingy or 'Merge individuals' You might also have to use 'Fix Relationship'* and 'Detach/Attach Spouse'* or 'Detach/Attach Children'* Just jot each situation down and do them one at a time. I don't know how I keep managing to do it, but on the family view page, I keep getting extra spouses! I have several with 'unamed spouse' or 'spouseless relationship1' . I've tried everything to find out how to delete these but can't do it. Can anyone give me any tips please? with thanks Pat
