It would be nice to think of them as care workers, But if you look up what it was like in Assilums in thous days Prison Warder whould be a more appt discription.

In 1891 two of my ancestors are listed as being 'Attendants of the Insane'.could they be more accurately described perhaps as 'warders',or perhaps the more modern equivalent,that of 'care worker'? Regards William Russell Jones Cefn Mawr Wrexham.
