Hayton, Yorkshire. Which rego office should I try

HI I found a possible marriage for my rellies at Hayton on Family Search, but I can't find it on Free BMD. Which place can I email for help with the marriage? I'd like to order the cert if possible, but don't have the GRO number. Thanks

Is there more than one Hayton !! oh dear.... It says Hayton, Yorkshire, England. Should I try York??

There's a Hayton, near Retford, which is classed as Nottinghamshire but has a Doncaster postcode which is Yorkshire!

Hi Karen I looked under reg districts and found it under Pocklington in East yorkshire The address if you want to check reg districts is: www.fhsc.org.uk/genuki/REG/index.htm

ok.......now I'm confused !! How can it be in Nottingham or Doncaster or anywhere else if it says Yokshire ???????

Yes we're all wide awake here! It's 9.45am yes you can order certs on the phone. I did the other week. They said it was taking about 2-3 weeks but I heard back in about 10 days. Unfortunately they couldn't find my cert - but they didn't charge me anything!
