Is it possible to put a GR icon on the desk top, if so, how? Please

I would think you could right click on the Genes Reunited logo above left and then set as desktop item?

If you right click when on your site homepage and select create short cut. This will put a shortcut on the desktop, but it doesn't have the logo just the large 'e' and the site name.

Unlike Brian, I'm still struggling to get something on my desktop. I thank you Heather for the instructions, but I have not succeeded yet. Why are things so difficult, GRRRRRR

I've just had another try at right clicking on the logo and then set as desktop item. This put the logo onto my desktop but it does not operate as a shortcut. I've used the shortcut as I described above for a while now.

Brian i think u enabled web desk top next time, right click on desktop and choose properties, then click on the desktop tab. then at the bottom on the left hand side click on customise desktop then on the web tab. then just delete or untick the one u want to remove. does that make sense Tony
