Hi All, Just looked up a marriage record on Ancestry and it shows my g-uncle's marriage but with two ladies recorded on the same page. There are only himself and two ladies How do I know which one he married? |

Yvonne You don't - without ordering the cert. You didn't say when this marriage was, but if it was pre-1901 you can check on the census and see which wife your relative is with - hope both ladies aren't called Mary! Alternatively her maiden name will be on the birth cert of any children they had. nell |

Yvonne That means the page isn't fully transcribed yet. There should be another man. Basically unless you know the christian name of the lady her married, then you won't know which one without sending for the cert. Jeanette x |

Hi, Free BMD isn't fully transcribed. You could try to find him in a later census to see the wife's first name but other than that the only way to be sure is to buy the cert. Gwynne |

It was in 1909 so I guess the certificate is the only way. Actually Jeanette it's my Arthur from yesterday (Strange). Little John died soon after finding him, unfortunately. Ancestry only seems to be showing marriages up to 1910 and I have already ordered some other certificates so thought I would whiley away the hours on Arthur Thanks all |
