It is so nice to have some information on Lena Lyonson. I am still very interested on all aspects of family history but been very busy with a family.

You may have had zero posts as you had not used the boards....but Ian has used the boards at least twice so why are they not listed under his name? So the chances are he is no longer a member

The ones that have a name as Unknown zero posts and a joining date of Jan 0001 are deleted accounts and you cannot pm them

Ann, it is unlikely that Andrew will see your post as it is such a long time gap.

It would be better if you send him a PM (personal message) by clicking on his name at the top of his first post. If Andrew is still an active member he will get it, unless he has changed his email address in the meantime without telling Genes!! You will know whether he has read it by looking at the little envelope by your sent messages.

Having not long joined Genes Reunited I started browsing and came across these messages from some years ago. Just thought I'd add my bit which might still be of interest to Andrew who left his message on 6th March 2005. Lena Lyonson was the sister of my great-grandfather, Abraham Lyonson. Abraham's other sister was Bertha Lyonson. My grandfather was Myer, son of Abraham. His name was later anglicised to Michael or Mick. His son, Denis was my father.

Thank you so much for your speedy help, I have just come in from work and now understand. My grandmother was eva Rabinowitz 1905 have birth cert. Her parents Joseph Rabinowitz and Lena Lyonson married 1886 at princess street synagogue. Grand parent Israel Rabinowitz. I was told that Eva was a fineberg by my late father and Uncle. Have made a connection from a man whose grandfather was Julius Rabinowitz, changed to Robinson with the family names in the thread. We appear be finding Finberg more and more a possibility, not sure how they can be both Rabinowitz and Fineberg and not yet established a link between Julius and Eva, although from emails it seems almost certain (unless we are getting carried away, always a possibility) I hope this helps a little, I am so grateful of your help. In 1901 there appear to be some Rabinowitz 's in west Derby, Liverpool Lots of Finebergs too Both names appear to be russian jess

Are Ralph, Nelly etc Rabinowitzes or Finebergs? What is the connection? Where have you looked - censuses, GRO indexes? nell
