Ancestry - search the London Times

Lou I've just sent them an email (after havingspent five minutes looking for a contact address for them) asking why I cant access the Times and informing them it's inclusion on the results for UK ancestry users is very misleading let you know when I hear back Zoe |

Zoe I'd be interested in knowing the answer cos like you I'm as upgraded as you can get but can't access the newspapers and periodicals section either, which seems a bit misleading given that they advertise that as one of the features when you subscribe! Lou |

MIne tells me I am queen bee also but only for ancestry uk. I am sure all the newspapers come under the US site. |

Patricia well thats what I thought but the uprgrade page is telling me I'm a Queen Bee and cant go any further up LOL It's very frustrating as access to the Times is one of teh things I'd LOVE and could play all day on. i might email them about it and find out whats the story Zoe |

Yes I do. I don't think you get newspapers or periodicals. They are an other upgrade I think. |

Searching the GRO indexes on ancestry I got a hit and clicked on the name to view the persons record and on the left of the screen there was a link saying 'search for xxxx xxxxx in the London Times'. ........ So I clicked the link to see what it came up with and it took me to a page asking me to subscribe - which obviously i already do. ......... I've checked my account and it tells me I have all the options I can get for UK ancestry and I'm fully upgraded ............... so am i being stupid or does everyone else get the same? ............ (the search I did was for Adelaide Charlotte Cotton birth if anyone wants to see what I mean. zoe |
