Anyone Familiar with PAF????

Last night I deleted my tree off here and moved my updated one from PAF onto the site. Now, when I go into my tree on PAF, I can see the FAMILY, I can see the PEDIGREE but the INDIVIDUALS list is just a blank page. I've done this loads of times before with no problems at all so what's gone wrong????? Lou

Lou Downloading your tree from PAF shouldn't alter what's on there, it just makes another copy. I've just had a look at my PAF tree as I've never used the 'individuals' bit. I always just click on the binoculars to get an alphabetical list.

Hi Helen That's what I usually do but the list wont appear. The page is just completely blank. When I go into the individuals page, the icon for the binoculars is blanked out! Its bizarre cos like I said I've moved the tree hundreds of times before but with no problems at all. Lou

If you click FILE and OPEN is there just what you would expect? You've not managed to make a duplicate file or something? I know there are some glitches with PAF. A few months ago I tried to delete someone who suddenly appeared as her husband's sister instead of wife. When I pressed the confirm button it deleted EVERY relationship in my tree. All the names were still there but not who was related to who. Took me weeks to sort. Have you got a back-up file?

Hi Helen I click FILE and OPEN and it appears as it should with me as the first person. Nothing else has changed except I can't view the individuals list. I back up every time I close at night so just gone into that and its the same, no individuals listed. I don't suppose it REALLY matters cos I haven't lost any data from the tree, everyone is still where they should be and the ones that are elusive remain gaps (grrr!), I was just a bit baffled. I know I'm not THAT computer literate but even I've managed to import and export a tree successfully up till now! Lou
