Marriage 1835 St Mary Newington

William Haslam Married Eliza Brockwell 24th Aug 1835. St Mary Newington. He was born c 1815 Salford Lancs but lived his life in Merton Surrey. As the marriage is pre 1837 is it possible to get a copy of the marriage certificate to see who his father was. Shirley

As you know, before 1837 there wont be a marriage certificate just the entry in the parish register. Southwarks have archives at Local(.)Studies(.)Library(@)southwark(.)gov(.)uk Remove brackets I have to say they arent the quickest people at replying and charge quite heftily for searches. You may want to ask for a look up on the Records Office Board first?
