Vivienne, I have just remembered that my sister couldn't believe I just asked people like that - so if you feel awkward, don't worry. Jen

Vivienne - thanks very much. If you could ask whoever you talk to if they remember Miss Bramwell (used to wear purple, local kids called her Batman) that would be great. I just want a few little memories of her, to go with my hairy biker who said she introduced him to the books of his fave author, and the travelodge girl who said sheepishly 'she was scary'. I thought so too! Does that make sense? Jen

Hi thanks. My late aunt was a librarian there for years and I am trying to gather info for a book. The current staff have helped me enormously but I would also like memories of her as she was quite a character. When I went up for her funeral in Rgly I met a great big hairy biker who remembered her which was fab. Soooo - Miss Bramwell ring any bells? Thank you, Jen
