child burnt to death

would anyone know where I could find info on a child who was burnt to death (nighty caught fire) - I can't seem to find any Death Certificate - it was about 1900's. Annie

Do a search on FreeBMD, see if they have transcribed it yet: http://freebmd.rootsweb(.)com/ before spending your hard earned cash at the 1837 site. The death certificate will tell you little of the circumstances of this little tragedy. Once you have the date and place of death, the next step would probably be to check the local newspapers for the time, possibly held on film in the main library or record office covering the area. You could find a report on the initial incident and a further report on the inquest. If you publish the child's name name on this board, someone may be able to help. dave
