If you look on the 1881 census on familysearch.org (i.e. the LDS site) there's only one Ada Bassindale of the right age there (not an absolute guarantee, of course... mistranscriptions are not unknown!). William BASSINGDALE Head M Male 44 Withernsea, York, England Miller Journeyman (Corn) Elizabeth BASSINGDALE Wife M Female 37 Scrivelsby, Lincoln, England Dressmaker Ada BASSINGDALE Daur Female 12 Wood Enderby, Lincoln, England Scholar -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Source Information: Dwelling Horncastle Rd Census Place Coningsby, Lincoln, England Family History Library Film 1341775 Public Records Office Reference RG11 Piece / Folio 3252 / 110 Page Number 15 Would this tie in for you? It's posssible they moved to the NW when she was young - you could try for the later censuses to see if you can find her there. Christine

hi everyone i know i have ask before but i cant seem to find were my grandmother was born her name was ada mary bassindale was told she came from manchester ,but when i had alook they nearly all came from belton lincs.she was born in 1869 can anyone help thank you joyce
