thankyou to Margaret, Brenda and Christine for the info you gave. Maragret, my search is in Staffordshire Brenda, Hawkins is the name i am searching for. & Christine, I was born one of 7 and i have only one sister and her name is Christine. Just a bit of useless info, that i noticed & i thought i would share with you. Once again thanks for your help. Shaz :-)

If you put 'newspapers' into the thread-search, it comes up with a number of threads some of which are giving, rather than asking for, info. Christine

This site will give you a guide to the titles that are available: http://www.bl.uk/collections/newspapers.html Occasionally newspapers are indexed, but not very many of them. Local studies libraries usually have the best collections.

Hi can anyone tell me if there is a site for tracing old newspapers. One that you search for info on BMD or maybe find other things about your family. say 1910- now. Also the cost if there is one to search. Thanks shaz
