Maureen That is because in 1984 the GRO started using a computerised system, so anything after that is on with the exception of recent(pre 2002 dates). For anything after about 1910 its the same rules as FreeBMD, not much transcribed. 1837online, Family Relatives.org, The Family Records Centre or the microfiche listings at main libraries etc are the only ways to view the indexes for the GRO. Valerie At the moment deaths go up to about 1910 on ancestry. Family Relatives is fully transcribed up to 1920. From then on till 1984 it's 1837 online, pay per view! Lou

Thats because they havent been transcribed yet. The info on Ancestry is the same as FreeBMD Try 1837online or Family Relatives Margaret

I have got ancestory.com but cant find any deaths for my lot after 1900, then it takes you to 1984, anybody any clues where I might find them, thanks
