I have a book on George Herbert Hirst (well, he shares it with Wilfred Rhodes) - it may mention some of his immediate family.

I do not know if these 2 sites will help. the first has a Photo of George and a hitory, the second again a history a small part of it is pre cricket. http://usa.cricinfo.*com/db/PLAYERS/ENG/H/HIRST_GH_01000216 www.cricketarchive.*co.*uk/archive/articles/0/442.html I do not know what this conection is but I found a related fact on one site that gave this name Michael Hirst. He was the chef constable of Leicestershire 1938

I am looking for relatives of George Hirst the famous all rounder for Yorkshire. My great grandmother was his first cousin and I know nothing about her. If anyone is related to him please could you contact me and help me to fill in the missing blanks. Fern.
