Lunar Funny you should say that. I was just sat here thinking about my Dad's death. He died on 28th March but the funeral was delayed with it being Easter. And it was me who actually registered the death cos Mum couldn't face it. I'm b*ggered if I can remember what date it was but it must have been well into April. Jeanette x

Hi Jeanette, Could well be. The death could have been registered in january which would put it in the March quarter. Christine

I would be pretty sure of that as they would probably have registered it after the Christmas, which would bring him into the Jan/Feb/March quarter of the next year.

I have the death of my 3x great Grandfather from the parish registers - burial date 24/12/1889. FreeBMD has the death of a Joseph Greenley but registered March quarter of 1890. It's the right district and the right age. Do you think it's the same one? Jeanette x
