Amanda, it seems to happen to me all the time, you give them info then never here from them again, so its got to the point where i give a little and say thats all i have to see how they react, if they come back then i share more, if they dont, then i know they were only after info. I only have one name in my tree as i had to delete it, so?. good luck :-)

You appear to be right. You could decline to show your tree until they show you theirs. The number of names entered on GR might bear no relation to a persons information.

If you click on our names in the message boards you will get a message saying you have to br a full member to contact that person and how many they have in their tree.

I clicked on the name on my contacts but got nothing. My only communication from them is an email through the site. It worked on the message board ok, Am I being very thick?

Is there anyway of finding out how many people someone who contacted you has in their tree? I have a member of my husbands family who is 'fishing' for info and though I know we are on here to share our info I've had people contact me , I share my names and never hear from them again, so I wanted to see if this was a genuine contact. I know when I have emailed in the past it comes up with how many is in their tree but I dont really want to get chatty, if you get my drift.
