When did death certificates change?

Maiden names have been added since 1 April 1969 - found by googling. nell |

According to the GRO website death certificates were changed in 1969 to show date and place of birth, so before 1969 they only show age. I wasn't aware that death certificates gave maiden names certainly the oldish ones I have for married women don't they give married name and state wife of or widdow of .... |

I have just received a death certificate for my gggrandmother hoping it would show here maiden name and possible place of birth as modern death certs do - does anyone know when they changed to show this info please? |
