Hi - is anyone having trouble exporting to Family Tree 4? When I download the ged file and tree to import it to the Family Tree, it's coming up with an error message - has anyone got any ideas? Thanks ever so much Mandy

I've found with family tree 4 that you can't just open a file that you've imported from where ever you've saved it to. You have to have the programme open and open it through the programme for it to work. Does that make sense? Em

Hi Em Thanks for your response...I'm not sure I understand, can you give me the idiots version as I'm not brilliant with these things! I have tried opening it while the Family Tree is open but it just says that the ged is not recognised. Thanks Mandy

Is this a GED someone has sent to you? If you mail me direct I'll send you my email addy, you can mail me your file and I'll try opening it for you. I've noticed that no-one else seems to use this software so we maybe on our own to sort this out! Em
