Hi June . Just a thought If you google mail2web, you can download all you mail from anywhere and on anyones else's computer, quite safely. all you have to do is log on and enter your email password. It then downloads your mail direct from your isp without using explorer. I hope this will be of help to you. Regards Joyce.

If you can access your mail on the providers website, log in there sometimes there is a big email or a problem email which is causing the time out before any others get through. If there is something you can delete it there and then try OE again, or at least read emails online.

If you go to the help menu - possabley on the start menu or 'programs' menu and type in system restore it should tell you how to do it.

Brian, Thanks again . She has Windows 200 and there isn`t a System Restore button. It only seems to be on Windows ME and XP.Does that mean that she is looking at a new computer? Please don`t say yes!! lol......Jay.

June Go to programs / Accessories/ System tools then you will see System restore . Close everything else first as Windows will restart. Brian

Have you recently downloaded Internet Explorer 6? I seem to remember having all this prob then? If it isnt that, can you do a system restore back to a date when there wasnt a problem?

Hi, Has anybody got any idea how to fix a fault with Outlook Express? My daughter can`t download any messages at all , and her ISP say the problem isn`t with them. Firewall is OK., e-mail properties says OK, and says receiving e mail but then won`t download . Then `time-out` error message comes up. We`re desperate. Jay.
