I've just done something really stupid and don't know what to do. Have just ordered two certs, one for my ggrandparents marriage and one for gggrandparents marriage. The second one when I have now read the order confirmation that I just printed I have put his name the wrong way round in the boxes eg. instead of 'Edward Butt' it reads 'Butt Edward'. Does anyone think that GRO will just reject the application? - is there any way I can change the order? - or are they sensible enough to note that all the other details including his spouse and all her three christian names are correct? Help please!!!!!!!!! |

call the customer information line (number on the website) with your order reference and ask them if they can either change it or cancel it. if I remember rightly from previous calls they print all the online requests in one batch at the end of the day so they wont have to search through 2000 bits of paper for you Zoe |

Hope they listen to you though. It does say that once ordered they cannot be cancelled. Margaret |

Oh well, I'll either have to try and appeal to their better nature, or just admit that I'm an idiot! and put it down to experience. |
