Stephen Try this site (remove brackets) http://www.islandnet(.)com/~jveinot/cghl/cghl.html It has lots of links to Canadian genealogy sites. This is Ontario GenWeb's site http://welcome.to/ontariogenweb Each province holds their own records, it's not centralised as in UK. Try putting Ontario BMD in your search engine and see what comes up. Another site I found useful is Granny's Genealogy Garden, but it depends wherabouts in Ontario you are looking. http://www.100megsfree3(.)com/granny1/index.html The Ontario cemetery finding aid site is also very good. http://www.islandnet(.)com/ocfa/homepage.html Hope these help Good luck Sue

Quite welcome, Steve. Do you have full details, or for example, some family left sometime in the 1880's. Certificates are hard to obtain (from Canada), but there are sites like the 1901 census, etc. I can find more sites for you, if you want other things besides certificates. And, do you know where they lived in Ontario? (Just curious, since I was born there.) Note: it's 9:00 am here, and if I don't respond again 'this morning', it's because I've gone on errands.
