We too found a link to N.Z.on Rootsweb. At last we found out what happened to my GGgrandfather's brother Charles and were thrilled to learn of his marriage to a Maorri lady. We helped the N.Z. descendants with the line back from Charles and they were able to bring the story forward to the present day.

Im in constant contact with all of them. We mail each other bits and pieces that would be useful to each of us. One girl in Africa mailed me a will she had brought (we share GGParentsx4). So its brilliant. The girl in the States said she had been waiting for years for someone to go on rootswebs with the sister of her GGFx4 who had gone to the states in the early 1800's. She gave me lots of info about the family and even the shipping details when the family went over to the states.

Ive got distant cousins in Africa, NZ, Aus, Canada and Germany!! All through GR or Rootsweb. Oh and 2 in the States!

Do you think I 've done the right thing? I noticed his tree on Rootsweb and some of his ancestors are also mine! It says to contact him so I've just sent him an e mail! Debby
