How can I find who paid education fees in and about 1885 to 1902 my grandad was gave told couple to look after him but family paid his apprentiship to be baker and all his schooling

Not being a baker, I cannot tell you who to look for, only suggest. If you can get in touch with a Master Baker, they may be able to put you in touch with their Guild or whatever (no offence to those craftsmen who may use this site). If records of Apprentice Indentures were held, they may hold them. Do you know which school it was? Does it still exist? If it does, they may hold records. Paul

If he was from the London area, then the London Metropolitan Archives in Islington is worth a shot - they hold a lot of school records and apprentice records.
