I thought of that as he was still with them in 1891 on cencus as scholar but he was a boarder

I suppose it would depend on whether the monies were sent to the people he was living with or directly to the school.

My grandad was not adopted but had to live with an old couple I was told his father or fathers family where paying for his schooling and his apprenticship to become a baker can any one tell me if there is anyway to find out who paid for his education I know it is a long shot
