1721 in Scotland and only dad is on birth certificate for some reason usually both are on it but deaths only go back to 1855 |

Have you cross checked death certs for same time and place. they could of died in child birth. |

I would be interested in the answer to this too as I have this situation on my tree at the minute. I haven't done anything about it as yet because I couldn't see a way forward. Abigail |
