Removing `unwanted´ relations

I altered the mothers names of one of my ancestors as I found out he was one of the sons from the first marriage. Couldn´t delete him as he was connected to `multiple relations´ so I then deleted his children and then added them again . then tried to delete his wife and I can´t do that either as I´ve added her parents etc. I´ve now got my ancestor and his wife twice on my tree and don´t know how to remove them without having to alter everything. Anybody any ideas please? Thanks in advance Karen

Oh Dear Karen I had a situation like this and in the end had to delete the whole lot because trying to work down the branch to remove enough was not permitted whichever way I tried. I still haven't put them all back! Abigail

Thanks Abigail, Perhaps I´ll just leave them where they are then - sounds like too much hassle! Karen

Just seen a tip on another thread similar to this. If you export your Gedcom file to another family tree program, you can edit it there then import it back here.
