Can anyone remember an article in one of the family history magazines in recent weeks, about the 'Band of Hope'. I am beginning to think I have imagined it. I have just promised to send a photocopy to an elderly correspondent of mine and now can't locate it. Please reassure me I am not going totally 'doolally' and it did appear!

What was the article about?

It was about the 'Band of Hope' a Temperance organisation which had huge numbers of members and many meetings around England around 1910 or so. We do know it existed - this elderly gentleman has given me a copy of a photograph of one meeting. I am sure I saw an article or something about it's history.
