It is Mary Anne Hornby, I just checked on 1837 and the reference is the same. Chrissie

Hi I just tried http://www.lancashirebmd.org.uk and found Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1880 Surname Forename(s) Surname Forename(s) Church / Register Office Registers At Reference RAWCLIFFE Joseph HORNBY Mary Anne Poulton-le-Fylde, St.Chad Fleetwood & Fylde FJ/2/147 Is that one yours? You can order from them by using their ref - it acts as a link to a part-completed application form. Same fees as GRO. Christine

Hi, Ancestry and freebmd are the same but freebmd is slightly ahead in transcribing. If it isn't on freebmd it won't be on ancestry. Gwynne

Unfortunately 1837 won't help as that was before they started to put the partner's name against the entry.

norma give me the name and ref no and i'll check on ancestry for you sandra

BrianW Report 21 Feb 2005 15:42

There are usually four entries on a page. If there are less than that it means that the other partie(s) to the marriage(s) haven't been transcribed yet.
