There is a Family Bible on Ebay, auction ending this evening and under £6 at present, with a comprehensive list of births marriages and deaths in the 1800s. I have two lines of Jacksons but don't think they are mine. Hope it helps someone.

I've just checked 1837 for a birth I could read, and I believe it is from the Doncaster area. Just hope I'm right, but don't take my word for it!! I am tempted but I don't think any of my Jacksons are from Doncaster! Hope someone can get some use from it.

Linda, When I see your name on the board, it seems really strange ,as you have my maiden name. Maybe you are me in annother time dimension!

Linda, I have two lots of Jacksons. Husband's side way back, Jacksons from Wrangle, near Boston. My side also way back, from Foston, near Grantham. Any use to each other? Elisabeth

My Jacksons all started off in Northumberland, then moved south into Durham, all miners, nearly all called James, just to make them harder to sort out.
