It could be his ISP that is thinking it is spam and throwing it into junk box. I know that mailwasher automatically classes any email I get from hot*mail and aol as spam.

I have this evening received a message via GR from a contact with her (hot mail) address with no probs whatsoever!! Wendy

Actually, now you mention it, you are quite right - I have sent my email address to other people on this Site without any problems. I have now messaged this contact five times, four times including my email address, the fifth time not including my email address but asking if he got any of my previous messages - he only received the message without my email address. I just assumed the GR Police had picked up the forbidden words - can anyone think of another reason? This is driving me mad, he wants to send me photographs etc! Marjorie (Flustered and frustrated)

This is odd as I have been giveing out my E-Mail to lot of people on this site over the last few day and no one has faild to get it. I do'nt even do the * () on any of it.

I know that the censor automatically removes references to hot male on these boards but I've given this email address via messages a couple of times in the past week with no problem.

I've never put spaces or brackets in my email addie when I've messaged it to people and I've never had any problems. Have you mailed GR for an explanation? I know they can censor the boards but if they're now checking messages then something needs to be said. Maybe that's why it takes so long for emails to reach the other end, they're being read first! well i sent my mail the other day and the contact got it, i did it twice with two seperate people, both went ok

Marjorie, you can if you leave spaces or put in brackets or asterisks and tell the recipient to take them out when they use it. Jan

What? They watch your private messages?? You can't even put your email address in them?!?

Last week I was over the moon when I was contacted through this site by a third cousin whose existence was not even suspected by me! We had a lengthy phone call and then decided we needed to swop email addys.Stupidly, didnt do it over the phone! I sent him an email, through the message centre on GR, turns out he didnt get it, but I thought he must have, and had ignored it, for some nefarious reason. I sent another and another - we have finally realised that GR spies are spotting my email address which has the dreaded word in it, you know, moc backwards, and it wipes it out. HOW UTTERLY STUPID! I now have to phone him and tell him my email address. Huh, so much for easy communication. A very cross Marjorie
